Ancient Connections is an exciting heritage and arts programme linking communities across the Irish Sea and generating new works of art, community projects, events and activities inspired by the stories that connect these two regions of north Pembrokeshire and north Wexford.
This website aims to showcase the many heritage and historical resources gathered during the course of the programme. It offers an opportunity for interested people to contribute to the gathering and publication of material about north Pembrokeshire and north Wexford.
If you have an interest in local history, heritage and stories and want to get involved, you can do so through this website. Here you can contribute local tales, family legends or half-remembered story snippets. Old photographs, oral history recordings, video and music are also welcome. Click on our 'Instructions' page to find out more about making a contribution.
Ancient Connections is led by Pembrokeshire County Council. Partners in the project include Wexford County Council, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and Visit Wexford.
Ancient Connections is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through their Ireland Wales Cooperation programme.
